Welcome to HSK English! We provide English language and literacy classes for native English-speaking children who attend Swiss school. Classes are run for children from age 4 and take place at various local schools across Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft. HSK English is a non-profit registered association (i.e. a Swiss "Verein") led by parent volunteers, and is licensed by the Department of Education.

For our current students, please do remember that we operate on a continual enrolment system so if you are not returning for the upcoming semester , you must cancel your registration by November 30th (to end after the first semester) or May 31st (to end after the second semester).

Have you heard about Foundations For Learning ?
Foundations for Learning (FFL) is a Swiss-registered nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting children and families through services provided in English.
FFL brings together highly qualified professionals from education, speech and language therapy, psychology, counselling, and educational assessment to help children with diverse or additional learning needs. Their team works collaboratively to understand each child’s strengths and challenges, provide targeted support, and advocate for the resources children need to succeed.
Through individualised educational services, therapeutic support, and comprehensive assessments including ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other learning differences. FFL helps children build confidence, develop effective learning strategies, and better understand their unique learning profiles.
Their multidisciplinary team includes:
• Psychologists and counsellors
• Speech and language therapists
• Educators
• Learning support specialists
